Meet the Team
Along with wife Helen, Dave established 1st Class Kitchens in 1995, initially as a fitting service but soon grew into a full retail establishment. He started out as an all round kitchen installer, qualified in everything from plumbing and carpentry to electrics. His eye for perfection really shines through in the finished product and his project management of each job ensures that everything runs smoothly. Dave lives with his wife Helen, their two children and their dog in Walton. In his spare time he enjoys watching motor sport, going to live shows and socialising with family and friends.
Helen has a real can do attitude and finds nothing too much trouble. She is the organisational backbone to the company, arranging everything from installation schedules, deliveries, invoices and paperwork. Her warm and friendly personality means that customers feel truly at ease that they are in safe hands. Helen lives with her husband Dave, with their two children and dog. In her spare time she likes to walk their dog Max, go to west end shows and socialise with family and friends.
Lucy is the newest member of our team and brings with her over 10 years of experience in the design and sales industry. She has a real passion for all things design based, keeping an eye on current trends by visiting Grand Designs, Ideal Home and KBB shows whenever possible. She moved up from Northamptonshire to Chesterfield in 2014 to live with her boyfriend Adam. They love living on the edge of the Peak District with everything it has to offer. Lucy has a particular weakness for chocolate (don’t we all?!) and in her spare time she likes to crochet and patchwork.
Rob and Matt are 1st Class Kitchens’ father and son installation team. Nothing is too much trouble for either of the duo and our customers love their friendly, approachable personalities. Between them they have over 25 years of installation experience. Rob recently married his long term girlfriend, Missy (Melissa) on a lovely Tuesday afternoon with their all of their friends and families best wishes. Both live locally to the showrooms and despite working with each other all day still enjoy a pint down their local pub, The Hollingwood Hotel. Matt says “Rob is always keen to do a good job and usually takes charge. His only fault is that he always nicks my pencil!” In their spare time they like to go for a nice meal together as a family with their wives and enjoy weekend breaks at Skegness where occasionally Rob may even buy Matt a pint!
